Visit Design Brooklyn to read the article, “Life Inside: A Passive House in Carroll Gardens”

Build with Prospect, was the General Contractor for owners Laura Mackall and Robert Manley as they had their c.1860’s brownstone retrofitted to an energy efficient Passive House.

The visions and ideas of the owners are reflected in the beautiful designs created by architect, Louis Mackall. Great attention to detail by Build with Prospect, Inc. brought the project to life as they performed and managed the construction of this cozy, energy efficient retrofit.

John Williams is one of the professionals featured in the Urban Green News article “Case Study: Row House Retrofit” in their April 8, 2015 issue of Urban Green Weekly News.

Urban Green sponsored a tour of the same home on June 24, 2014 for attendees of the NY14 Passive House Conference and Expo in NYC. Jeremy and Jane were both on-site to point out and explain various features as well as to answer questions about this Passive House retrofit.

This article in HouseBeautiful magazine(January 2014) highlights the amazing interior decorating of this Brooklyn townhouse. Prior to the decorating, the clients had their home retrofitted into a super energy efficient Passive House. Prospect Architecture and Build with Prospect performed all of the architectural design and construction for this impressive Passive House retrofit. Now their home is both beautifully decorated and super energy efficient.

John Williams, a 2013 recipient of ENR New York’s Top 20 Under 40(Engineering News Report), served as a JUDGE on the 6-person panel who selected New York’s Top 20 Under 40 recipients for 2014.

Prospect Architecture is featured in the book Recreating the American Home, The Passive House Approach by Mary James. The ninth chapter of the book details our Passive House BKLYN project.

Mary James’ next book, American Passive House Developments, Multifamily, Multi-use, and Retrofit Buildings, devotes chapter eight to Prospect Architectures and Prospect Developments 3rd Passive House BKLYN project.
